Description
The AJR Filtration HC-61 Series String Wound Cartridge Filter is certified to comply with the materials safety requirements of NSF/ANSI 61 "Drinking water system components - Health effects." The HC-61 is manufactured to be used by water municipalities and in various point-of-entry (POE) potable water systems.
The filter is made using polypropylene complying with FDA CFR 177.1520. HC "high capacity" filters are designed to provide excellent filtration for fluids with a wide particle size distribution. The HC series filters are wound with two zones in order to provide longer filter life with challenging fluids. A more open pre-filtration section services to protect the downstream media and remove larger particles, while a tighter final filter section provides for removal of smaller particles.
The rating of each zone is specified in order to provide a filter uniquely tailored to process requirements. Precision winding geometry provides consistent removal efficiency. Polyester or polypropylene core covers allow added containment removal assurance. Cartridges are available in continuous lengths from 3 to 72in and diameters from 2 to 4.5in. End fitting options allow installation into most filter housings.
