Description
The Coleman Filter Rayon String Wound Depth Filter has a fluid compatibility similar to bleached cotton, but is more coarse and less absorbent than cotton, and swells in aqueous solutions.
String wound depth filters are created by winding diamonds onto a core with 1 to 4 inches of filtration media. Bleached cotton media filters provide a high dirt holding/retention capability with low media migration. These filters are spun wound to micron ratings from 0.5 to 200 with a temperature rating up to 300°F. Core center material options include polypropylene, tin, 304SS, or 316SS.
