The Eaton Model 52 Duplex Strainer is a large duplex basket strainer designed for high-flow applications with minimal pressure loss. Its key features include a butterfly valve design that allows continuous flow without shutting down for basket cleaning, and a unique basket design with convoluted (pleated) perforated sheets that increase screening area while reducing basket size. The strainer offers side-entry flow, which results in lower pressure drop and longer intervals between basket cleanings.

Available in sizes from 10" to 18", the strainer can be constructed in iron or bronze with flanged connections. It can handle up to 2,000 gpm (454 m³/h) of water with just a 2 psi pressure drop for a 10" model. The compact design features easy operation, including a single hand wheel operator, an indicator arrow showing which basket chamber is in service, and quick-opening covers for easy basket changing.
