The Des-Case Moisture Content Sensor detects water activity in oil. Water in hydraulic and lubrication fluids can cause oxidation, additive depletion, loss of dielectric strength, corrosion, and reduced lubricating film thickness. The MCS is designed to continuously monitor moisture levels in transformer, lubricating, and hydraulic fluids, making it suitable for applications where free water is a threat, such as gearboxes and thrusters.
