Air Dryers

An industrial air dryer is a device that removes moisture and contaminants from compressed air to ensure it is clean and dry. Air dryers are important in industrial and petrochemical processes because they prevent moisture from interfering with the industrial process and damaging equipment and tools. There are three main types of air dryers: Refrigerant, Desiccant, and Membrane. Refrigerant uses a refrigeration circuit to transfer heat from hot refrigerant gas to cold refrigerant. Desiccant uses hygroscopic substances called desiccants to remove moisture from the air. Membrane uses tiny tubes or hollow fibers made from a semi-permeable material to remove moisture from humid air.
