Cabin Air Filters
A cabin air filter is a filter that cleans the air that enters a vehicle's cabin through the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. The cabin air filter's purpose is to protect passengers from harmful pollutants and allergens in the air, such as dust, pollen, mold spores, and exhaust. If the cabin air filter isn't changed, the HVAC system will have to work harder to push air through it, which can cause the blower fan motor to overheat and fail. The recommended replacement interval varies by vehicle type and manufacturer, but it's generally a good idea to change the filter when you get an oil change, which is usually every six to 12 months.
